I started thinking of designing a cooling system in a car, which the refrigerant is make of carbon dioxide since I was little. The increasing of green house gases has been intensifying global warming. What we can do to reduce the impact on both environment and human? 

The Co2 cooling system will help to lower carbon emission on our daily life. 

According to the Global CCS Institute, the system will capture carbon dioxide from the surroundings by using a liquid solvent, which will then liquefy the gaseous Co2, under a pressure of 69 bar and temperature around 18°C in a storage made of hydrogenated nitrile (HNBR). 

 

Co2 is usually produced from factories and burning fossil fuel, which trap heat in our atmosphere, leading to global warming. It increases the rate of drought and consequently reduces harvest long term, collapsing the food chain in the environment and affecting our food supply, which could lead to famine(food shortage) in some regions. Therefore, our product would help sustain stable food supply and help achieve carbon neutrality.
